My mission

As the principal of MonWin Consulting, I create more equitable communities by helping people (residents, community organizations, public- and private-sector organizations, and design professionals) understand each other better and work from a shared set of priorities; and I help move collaborations forward by bridging between public engagement, planning, design and implementation. 

Why?

Every person—rich, poor, old, young, black, white, or brown—deserves to live a safe, healthy life. This won’t happen until every person lives in a safe, healthy community. After 15 years’ experience working to improve communities across the U.S. and abroad, I’m hopeful: I believe that, though there is much to be done, if everyone works to create these outcomes, they are achievable. MonWin is rooted in the desire to make the neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, and every community that I have the privilege to work in, better, safer, healthier places to live for all.
